The University of Huế (Vietnamese: Đại học Huế, English: Hue University) is a university in the central Vietnamese city of Huế .

According to the founding resolution from 1994, the university was created from six universities located in Huế. The city's pedagogical, medical and art-historical university as well as the general and agricultural universities were combined. The medical college, originally a faculty of the university, was given its current name Huế University Of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2007 . On the one hand, it is directly subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), but is formally still part of the University of Huế. This faculty was set up from 1961 as part of an educational aid program of the German federal government under the direction of Horst-Günther Krainick . However, it had already been founded.
