Huecuvus

A Huecuvus (also Huevuva , Huecuvas , Huecuve , Huecufe or Wecufe ) is an evil spirit in the mythology of the Araucans from South America who is released by the volcano god Pillan . A huecuvus can take any shape to bring misery and hardship to people, such as disease, crop failure, storms, and other plagues. According to popular belief, there is no protection against a Huecuvus.
