Hullámvasút (Hungarian for roller coaster ) in Holnemvolt Park ( Budapest , Hungary ) is a wooden roller coaster that opened in 1926 as Magasvasút in what was then the English park. In the meantime, it was also known as Hegyivasút . It has been closed since November 2nd, 2015.

The 480 m long route reaches a height of 17 m with a maximum height difference of 18 m and a maximum gradient of 45 °. The roller coaster was taken over by the Hungarian Zoo (Állatkert) in 2012.

Trains

Hullámvasút has seven trains with three cars each. Ten people (five rows of two people) can be seated in each car. In the first row of the middle car there is a brakeman who is responsible for regulating the speed of the train throughout the journey. Today there are only a maximum of four trains running at the same time, resulting in a capacity of 1344 people per hour.
