Hypergraphy

Hypergraphy (Greek hyper = a lot, about and graphein = to write) is the medical- psychological term for the pathological compulsion to write.

Hypergraphy is an affective disorder and can occur as a symptom of a number of diverse mental disorders (mainly in connection with enormous creative productivity) and manifests itself in a manic, compulsive writing mania, whereby all surfaces, including walls and objects, are seen as potential writing surfaces and writing requests become.
