The International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD, International Center for Integrated Development in Mountain Regions) is an association founded in 1983 in Kathmandu , Nepal.

The aim is to capture and collect knowledge about mountainous and mountainous regions and to use the resulting skills and expertise to improve the livelihoods of the mountain peoples in the Hindukush , Karakoram and Himalayan regions (with the adjacent areas of the Tibetan highlands ). ICIMOD serves eight regional member countries (RMC) of the Hindu Kush-Karakoram-Himalayan region (HKH region): Afghanistan , Bangladesh , Bhutan , China , India , Myanmar , Nepal and Pakistan - and beyond that all mountain people worldwide.
