IMS Connect

IMS Connect is an application that enables the IMS database to be addressed via TCP / IP . The application runs on the z / OS and receives the requests from outside and forwards them to the IMS transaction manager with OTMA .

IMS Connect can be accessed from outside in various ways:

any TCP / IP-based application,
using the IMS Connector for Java framework .

The latter can also be used to connect IMS Connect to an application server .
