ISO 39001

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ISO 39001 Road Traffic Safety (RTS) is an ISO standard for road traffic safety. The implementation of the standard is intended to enable the organizations that contribute to the "road traffic" system to improve road safety in the long term and thus reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured in road traffic. One example is the avoidance of fatal commuting accidents. ISO 39001 is also part of the Swedish Vision Zero .

The standard was developed by the ISO Technical Committee "ISO / TC 241". It was published in October 2012 as the international standard ISO 39001.
