The Indian cut sword has a strongly curved, single-edged blade. The blade is flat, has neither a hollow grind nor a central ridge. The back of the blade is reinforced. As a result, the blade has a T-shaped cross section. The handle is made of iron and the guard is made from one piece. The blade and the handle are decorated with an Indian pattern made of silver or gold inlays ( koftgari ). The Indian slash sword is used by warrior castes in India.
