Inducks is an online - database for Disney - comics worldwide. Volunteer writers collect data on all of Disney's comics and publications in 14 languages. More than 150,000 data records have already been created.

Database

Inducks, made up of Index and Ducks , collects data on every Disney comic, e.g. B. genre, title, protagonist, author / illustrator, first publication, page number, brief description, worldwide publication, sample images if applicable. An individual story code is generated so that the stories that are often published in different ways can be clearly assigned. The authors can also give a score on popularity, which is presented as charts. The first places are traditionally occupied by duck stories by Carl Barks .

Publications are indexed with country, title, language, publisher, date, price and information about the content. Biographies of authors or illustrators can be called up. The data is also used by specialist publications in booklet and book form.

history

Data collections on various Disney comics have existed worldwide since the 1970s. The Swede Per Starbäck started collecting such data for a mailing list in 1992 . In 1994 he founded the Disney Comics Database on the Internet. In 1999 the name was changed to Inducks at the suggestion of a co-author.
