Information Protection Ordinance
The Ordinance on the Protection of Federal Information ( Information Protection Ordinance ) of July 4, 2007 is an ordinance in Swiss law in the area of information protection.
scope
The ordinance regulates the protection of information provided by the Confederation ( Swiss Confederation ) and the Swiss Armed Forces . Its provisions concern information that is to be protected in the interests of the state. The protection of this information should be guaranteed by a classification concept and certain processing rules. The Information Protection Ordinance contains the principles for this classification and for the processing of information worthy of protection within the meaning of this Ordinance.
