Internal money
Internal money is money whose process of creating money is based on a corresponding increase in the indebtedness of private economic agents.
A typical example of this is the money created by the active creation of commercial bank money .
From the accounting perspective, the claims and liabilities of private economic entities can be offset by a consolidated balance sheet. That is, the net amount of domestic money in an economy is zero.
