Career

Mdledle played in the 2004/05 season for third division club People's Bank Spurs , with whom he was promoted to the second-rate Mvela Golden League . After the end of the season, the left-back moved to the traditional first division club Orlando Pirates , where he was able to prevail in his first professional season. His performance increased again in the 2006/07 season and resulted in the club's internal award for Player of the Season.

After moving to the Pirates, Mdledle was regularly used in South Africa's U-23 team. In mid-2007, he made his first appearance for the South African national team during the COSAFA Cup . Although he was repeatedly thrown back by injuries at the Pirates, national coach Joel Santana called the reliable and uncompromising defender to the preliminary roster for the Confederations Cup 2009 .
