Institut Européen d'Archéologie Sous-Marine

The Institut Européen d'Archéologie Sous-Marine ( IEASM ), German: European Institute for Underwater Archeology , English: European Institute for Underwater Archeology , is a French non-profit organization founded in 1987 and based in Paris .

Founder and current president is the underwater archaeologist Franck Goddio .

The aim of the institute is the location, excavation and restoration of sunken archaeological sites. The IEASM works closely with experts from various disciplines for the evaluation and publication of the finds. In addition, the institute organizes exhibitions to make the discoveries accessible to a broader public.
