The Institute for Experts e. V. (IfS) is an expert body . The development, standardization and establishment of uniform technical requirements and qualified review guidelines are among the central tasks of the IfS.

As an advanced and advanced training facility for experts, the IfS supports the appointing bodies in reviewing the special expertise for the public appointment and swearing-in of experts.

  • National and international cooperation with institutions and associations (EuroExpert, international certification and accreditation system)
  • Definition of qualified parameters for checking the expertise
  • Awarding research contracts
  • Qualified and recognized training and further education for experts
  • IfS certification as an internationally recognized qualification (German certification body according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17024)
  • Qualified support for architects, crafts, engineers, chambers of industry and commerce as well as chambers of agriculture with the verification of expertise from experts
  • Platform for professional exchange and network for chambers, experts, clients, the judiciary, legislation, associations and organizations

The IfS is supported by around 180 institutions from all areas of the expert field. These include appointing bodies and their umbrella organizations, testing organizations, expert associations, the supporting economy and individuals.
