Integrity Compensation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Integrity compensation is a term used in the Swiss Accident Insurance Act (UVG). This is a lump-sum payment that is paid out to insured persons whose physical, mental or psychological integrity has been permanently and significantly damaged as a result of an insured accident .

To calculate the integrity compensation, the maximum insured annual salary valid on the day of the accident is multiplied by the damage to integrity in percent. The integrity damage as a percentage is determined after a medical examination using a scale. In order for an integrity penalty to be paid out, the integrity damage must be at least 5 percent. It can be a maximum of 100 percent.
