Intermediate system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term of the intermediary system (or the intermediary structures ) is mainly used in the political-sociological context and characterizes the organizational forms between the politically interested population on the one hand and the actual system of government on the other.

Intermediate structures generally serve to mediate between citizens and politics and therefore play an important role in transforming political content and decisions between the social and political levels.

In addition to the classic transformers of parties , associations and clubs of all kinds, the intermediary system also includes religious associations, NGOs , social movements and citizens' initiatives . The mass media can also be understood as intermediate structures.
