The International Turkish Olympiads (Turkish: Uluslararası Türkçe Olimpiyatları ) have been held annually since 2003. Anyone whose mother tongue is not Turkish can take part. There is a separate category for native speakers.

Participation requirements

  • Age: 12 to 19 years (depending on the competition category, the age range may vary)
  • no previous participation in the finals of the Turkish Olympics
  • Applicants in the native speaker language category must have had permanent residence outside of Turkey for at least five years and, at the time of the competitions, in the country in which they are applying to participate

11th International Turkish Olympics 2013

The 11th International Turkish Olympiads took place from May 31 to June 16, 2013.

Awards

The 5th International Turkish Olympiads were awarded the 2007 European Language Prize. The award was presented by the then European Commissioner for Multilingualism Leonard Orban .
