Thessaloniki International Film Festival

The International Film Festival of Thessaloniki , and Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF) , ( Greek Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης is) every year since 1960 Thessaloniki organized.

The films shown are divided into the following sections: "International Section", "A panorama of Greek films", "The New Horizons program" and "The Balkan Survey". There is also a retrospective dedicated to a complete work. The main prize is the "Golden Alexander".

The festival is accredited by the Fédération Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films , but does not have an A festival award, "but knows how to take its place right behind the major A-festivals in the world," says arte .
