Interpositive

As interpositive (also intermediate positive) is referred to in the film production , a positive film, in the preparation of internegatives is used in turn to Kontaktkopierung (the "pulling") of the cinema screening copies are needed.

The interpositive is usually made directly from the camera negative either as an optical copy or "drawn" as a contact copy .

Nowadays a digital intermediate is usually used instead .
