Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations

The Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) is an intergovernmental association that focuses on the transparency and sustainability of public finances. The idea came up as part of the European unification process in 1995 and led to IOTA's start of operations in 1997.

IOTA currently has 44 tax administrations as members (42 full members and two associated members).

The association, founded in 1996, is based in Budapest .
