The Islote Gómez is an island off the north coast of Trinity Peninsula at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located north of Bulnes Island in the Duroch Islands group off Cape Legoupil .
It was discovered and named during the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948). It is named after the Chilean general Teófilo Gómez Vera .
