Isola (game)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Isola is a strategic board game for two players. It was published by Ravensburger Verlag in 1972 and 1980 .

It is played on an 8 × 6 field. Each player has a pawn, and you also need 46 tiles to mark the allowed spaces. In preparation, the two pieces are placed on spaces A3 and H4. All other fields are covered with the tiles. A turn consists of two steps: First, the player moves his pawn to one of the (maximum eight) surrounding tiles, but cannot move onto the field with the opponent. Then he removes any tile that is not occupied by either player. Whoever cannot move at first has lost the game.
