Italiani nel Mondo , InM for short , was a Christian Democratic party of the political center in Italy .

The party that was supposed to represent Italians in the world was founded in 2006 by the Italian journalist and politician Sergio De Gregorio . In the same year she joined the new government around Romano Prodi ( Prodi II cabinet ) as a coalition partner . A short time later, De Gregorio - as the only representative of his party in parliament - moved to Silvio Berlusconi's camp . In 2008 it became known that Berlusconi had supported the party with 100,000 euros.

In March 2009, the party went into Berlusconi's Popolo della Libertà . The party had a seat in the Italian Senate ( Senato della Repubblica ).

In March 2013 it became known that the Naples Public Prosecutor was investigating Berlusconi for corruption and illegal party funding. Among other things, Berlusconi is said to have paid De Gregorio three million euros for his transition to the Berlusconi party.
