JP Seeburg was a producer of American jukeboxes until the late 1970s based in Chicago . The company was founded by the Swede Justus P. Sjöberg, who left his hometown Gothenburg in 1887 at the age of 16 and emigrated to the USA, where he took the name Seeburg.

The first jukebox that could play in 1952, the new single record, the model M100B was. Seeburg had previously revolutionized the music business with the M100A (1948–51) model, which played 50 shellac records on both sides .

The V or VL 200 was introduced in 1955 and offered 200 options. This revolutionized the jukebox market again and was able to maintain the top position. In addition, the so-called "Tormat" (= toroidal matrix) was introduced with this model - it saved the elections electromagnetically. The V200 is - even more than the VL 200 - one of the most popular and most expensive collector's models from Seeburg.
