Jamila Abitar (2017)

Jamila Abitar ( Arabic جميلة أبطار; * May 9, 1969 in Marrakech ) is a Moroccan poet .

Abitar studied law and worked, among other things, in university administration, for UNESCO and in a library in Cachan , a municipality in Val-de-Marne . One of her mentors is the poet Leopold Congo-Mbemba, who convinced her to make her poems public. Her work is thematically about life in her hometown Marrakech.

Abitar lives in France .
