Janice L. Platt (* 20th century ) is a film producer and Oscar winner .

Career

Janice L. Platt's career in the film business began in 1981 with the short film The Olden Day Coat , for which she was responsible as a producer. The following year, she was for the documentary The bloody serious story of Count Dracula , in which Vincent Price as a voice-over is heard and the story about Dracula in charge told, also for production. For the short film Boys and Girls , Platt received an Oscar in the category “ Best Short Film ” at the 1984 Academy Awards .

For her participation in the short film The Painted Door , Platt received her second Oscar nomination with Michael MacMillan at the 1985 Academy Awards. After 22 film productions, for which she was jointly responsible and mostly worked with Michael MacMillan, she ended her career in the film business in 1986 with the short film A Sick Call .
