Jason Edward Bond (* in Johnson City, Tennessee ) is an American arachnologist .
He is a professor at the University of California, Davis .
In December 2012, Jason Bond described the spider Aptostichus barackobamai from the Euctenizidae family as one of 33 new species of the genus Aptostichus , which comprises a total of 41 species , and named it after the 44th President of the USA, Barack Obama .
