from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jerachmeel ben Solomon was an Italian - Jewish chronicler of the 12th century.

Around 1150 in southern Italy he wrote the Chronicle of Jerachmeel , a story from the creation of the world up to the year 70. It belongs to the genre of the rewritten Bible and is fragmentary handed down in the Sefer ha-Zikhronot ("memorial book") of the German Jew Elieser ben Ascher ha- Levi (early 14th century). It contains the additions from Daniel chap. 3 in Aramaic, which may be based on an Aramaic original.
