John S. Boyd
John S. Boyd (born before 1970) is an American sound engineer .
Life
Boyd began his career in television in 1970. One of his first feature films was Steven Spielberg's drama Empire of the Sun . For this he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Sound in 1988 . The following year he was nominated a second time for the Oscar for Bad Game with Roger Rabbit , but could not win the award again. A few more Hollywood productions followed , but he received fewer feature film engagements in the 1990s and worked more for television. He has appeared in television series such as LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials , Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles , Las Vegas, and Medium - Nothing Is Hidden and numerous television films.
