José Ramón Saborido
José Ramón Saborido Loidi is a Cuban politician from the Communist Party of Cuba, PCC (Partido Comunista de Cuba) , who has been Minister for Higher Education in the Cuban Council of Ministers since 2009 .
Life
Saborido graduated from school and earned a doctorate in technical sciences (Doctor en Ciencias Técnicas) . He then worked as a lecturer and professor and later dean , prorector and rector. In 2012 he first became First Vice Minister for Higher Education before he succeeded Rodolfo Alarcón Ortiz as Minister for Higher Education (Ministro de Educación Superior) in the Cuban Council of Ministers on July 13, 2016 .
