Josephine Dörfler (born July 9, 1987 in Potsdam ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Dörfler began her career in her hometown at SC Potsdam . She later received further training from the VC Olympia Berlin junior team . It was also used in the junior national team. In 2004 she moved to Bundesliga club VfB 91 Suhl . Two years later she went to NA Hamburg . With the Hamburg team she reached the final in the DVV Cup in 2008 . In order to get more working times, the diagonal attacker then switched to the Fighting Kangaroos Chemnitz . Since the East Germans could not avoid relegation, Dörfler continued her career at 1. VC Wiesbaden . There she became German runner-up in her first season. In March 2011, she suffered an Achilles tendon rupture and had to take a month-long break. In 2012 Dörfler moved back to her home club SC Potsdam . In the following season, the Brandenburgers first reached the pre-play-offs, switched off the Köpenicker SC Berlin and only failed in the quarter-finals after three encounters at Schweriner SC . In 2014 Dörfler moved to Canada to the University of Alberta Pandas.
