The Journal of Comparative Economics is a quarterly scientific journal on economic topics. It is one of two journals published by the Association for Comparative Economic Studies . Her focus is on analyzes of comparative systems research , i.e. the comparison of different economic systems such as market economy and socialism . It was founded in 1977 by John Michael Montias .

Alignment

The Journal of Comparative Economics is dedicated to comparative systems research in the spirit of founder John Michael Montias. Until 1989 the focus of the contributions was accordingly on the analysis of different socialist economic systems . Then the focus switched to transition research , which means the transition to a market economy . Recently, the journal has also increasingly published articles from institutional and development economics .
