Juliana Buhring is a British-German ultra-endurance rider and author. In 2012 she set the first Guinness Book World Record as the fastest woman to cycle around the world. She drove over 29,000 kilometers around the world in a total of 152 days, 144 of them in the saddle. She is currently the strongest Endura rider in the world.

Buhring was the only woman in the Transcontinental Race from London to Istanbul 2013 and finished 9th in the overall ranking. In 2014 she won the first ever Trans Am Bike Race in the women’s category and finished fourth in the overall standings. She drove 7,137 kilometers in 20 days and 23 hours. Buhring began her cycling career in 2011 at the age of 30.

Juliana Buhring grew up in the Children of God sect . In 2004 she left the cult at the age of 23 and wrote the book Not Without My Sister with her two half-sisters . The book, translated into 11 languages, describes her childhood in the sect. In 2010 the sect was dissolved. She later wrote This Road I Ride about worldwide touring cycling .
