The Juragent AG was a publicly traded company in the field of litigation funding , which was founded in 1999 in Leipzig and later directed from Berlin.
Fraud allegations
In early 2009, the authorities investigated breach of trust and fraud against the board of Juragent AG. Of around 16 million euros that the former board of directors is said to have transferred to Switzerland between 2007 and 2008, 15 million euros were secured there again. The money arrested in Switzerland by the Berlin public prosecutor's office was finally released by the German courts in February 2011. Around 1 million liabilities were reduced so that all undisputed or, if disputed, legally decided liabilities of Juragent AG are settled again. In September 2011 the insolvency proceedings were opened against Juragent AG.
