KSysguard (also known as KDE System Monitor ) takes on the task of process management and performance monitoring in KDE SC 4 .

KSysguard offers a client / server architecture that allows the monitoring of local and network resources. To do this, the graphical user interface uses so-called sensors to receive the information that is displayed on it. A sensor can deliver simple values or more complex information such as tables. For each type of information, one or more displays are provided, which in turn are summarized in worksheets that can be saved and reloaded independently of one another. KSysguard is not only a simple process manager, but also a very powerful tool for controlling large server groups .
