CULTURE mobile

KULTURmobil is the touring theater of the Lower Bavaria district . The project is organized by the culture department of the Lower Bavaria district. The leading cultural director, project manager and artistic director is Maximilian Seefelder.

about the project

Since 1998, the KULTURmobil has been visiting 30 communities in all of Lower Bavaria every summer by truck. The truck also serves as a platform. Admission to the performances is free, as the project is mainly financed by the Lower Bavaria district and by the participating municipalities through a guest performance.

There are two performances every day: a play for children in the afternoon and a play for adults in the evening.

With around 30 participants, KULTURmobil covers around 6000 km on its tour every year. So far, 160 of the 258 Lower Bavarian communities have been visited. Every year around 12,000 people visit the performances.
