description

The Kalijawo Malebu is a braided round shield made from rattan . It is worked in the shape of a bowl in cross section. The outside of the shield can be decorated with various decorations. The edge of the shield is also woven from rattan, but worked more densely than the rest of the shield. This serves to strengthen and stabilize the outer edge.
