Kantanka is an automobile brand from Ghana . Manufacturer is founded by Kwadwo Safo and led by Kwadwo Safo Jr. Kantanka Group .

Various individual vehicles have been produced since 1998: the Kantanka Saloon , the Kantanka Onantefo I off-road vehicle in 2006 and the Kantanka Onantefo II , the solar- powered Kantanka Odeneho and the 26-foot stretch Kantanka Obrempon off-road vehicle in 2007. In 2012, the Kantanka Nsoromma and the off-road vehicle Kantanka Daasebre .

In 2013, the SUV followed Kantanka Otumfuo , the Kantanka Odeneho II as successor of Odeneho I .

Contrary to what the company claims, it is assumed that these are vehicles from China that are assembled in Ghana.

Models

The models K71, Omama and Onantefuor are offered.

The K71 is known as a mini SUV and is powered by a 75 kW motor with a wheelbase of 250 cm and an empty weight of 1200 kg. The Omama is a pick-up model with a double cab and a 75 kW petrol engine. The Onantefuor is an SUV with a petrol or diesel engine (105 or 75 kW).

The Kantanka models have been in series production since the end of 2015. The price is between 16,500 and 32,000 euros.

The plant in Gomoa Mpota, west of Accra , opened on November 25, 2015. 250 people are employed there. According to the company, the production capacity is 100 vehicles per month or six to ten units per day. According to a recent report, only one copy is produced per day.
