The Canoe and Surf Club Schwerte eV is a German sports club based in Schwerte .
The club was founded in 1933 as the Schwerte canoe club . He practices canoeing in the fields of canoe racing , canoe slalom and canoeing and has won medals at the Olympic Games and World Championships several times.
The club maintains a boathouse and a canoe slalom course on the Ruhr .
The club's most successful athlete was Detlef Lewe , world champion and silver medalist at the 1968 Olympic Games .
