Karl Steinbuch Research Program

The Karl Steinbuch Research Program (KSF) promotes research and development at universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg and at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. The KSF is supported by the MFG Foundation, a division of the media and film company Baden-Württemberg . It is named after the information theorist Karl Steinbuch .

Objective and structure of the program

The KSF is aimed at researchers who deal with topics in information and telecommunications technology (ITK) and the creative industries. In addition to projects with a strong technical focus, the KSF also requests applications from economics and social sciences. In four tendering rounds (2011–2014), funds of up to 70,000 euros will be awarded for each funded project.
