history

technology

There are many different techniques for throwing the cards, but the easiest to learn are the Herrmann and Thurston methods.

Herrmann handle

Herrmann method

With the Herrmann method, you hold a playing card with your thumb, index and middle finger so that one corner of the card touches the index finger and the thumb stabilizes the card. Then you stretch your wrist back as far as possible and then jerk the wrist back to the starting position.

Thurston handle

Thurston method

The Thurston method uses a different grip for throwing playing cards: the playing card is held with the shorter side between the index and middle fingers. This allows you to rotate the map more than with the Herrmann method and thus generate a greater momentum.

useful information
