Kazuki Ganaha ( Japanese我 那覇 和 樹Ganaha Kazuki ; born September 26, 1980 in Naha , Okinawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player . From 1999 to 2008 he played for Kawasaki Frontale , from the 2006/07 season in the J. League . In 2009 he moved to Vissel Kobe . He is the first Japanese international from the Ryūkyū Islands . He made his debut in national dress on August 9, 2006 in a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago . So far he has scored three goals in six games for the national team.
Doping allegation
On May 8, 2007, Ganaha was sentenced to six game suspension for doping . His doctor gave him a saline solution containing vitamin B1 intravenously because he had a cold with fever and diarrhea, was dehydrated and could not drink. The relevant treatment protocols were sent to the league in accordance with regulations. The J-League judged this to be doping because it saw no acute need for the infusion and an application for approval had not been submitted and so saw the league's anti-doping guidelines violated and punished the club and players. The International Court of Justice (CAS) overturned the sentence on May 26, 2008 on the grounds that the saline solution did not improve performance and that the league had a duty to prove that the infusion was not medically necessary.
