history
In 1907 the Keneder Adler was founded by Hirsch Wolofsky. The newspaper reported on local and international events. Another focus was the promotion of Yiddish literature with the publication of texts and reports from literary life. Ruben Brainin was an associate editor from 1912 to 1915 .
The Keneder Adler played an important role in the self-organization of the Jews in Canada. In 1949 Max Wolifsky took over the management of the paper. In 1988 the Keneder Adler stopped its publication because there were hardly any readers of the Yiddish language.
