Chastity test (criminalistics)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In police jargon, a chastity test is the first time an undercover investigator has committed a crime , which he has to carry out in order not to be exposed by the police officer in the subsequent period.

In law, this practice is currently being discussed controversially, there is currently only a legalizing draft:

Draft of a § 110a Abs. 3 StPO:
"Other actions are permissible if they are indispensable to secure the operation and, when weighing the conflicting interests, namely the legal interests concerned, the interest in the deployment of the undercover investigator outweighs the impaired interest; Such an act must not encroach on the rights of uninvolved private individuals. Other regulations that exclude the illegality of an act remain unaffected. " (BR-Drs. 494/94, p. 1 (9))
