Kibber

Kibber is a village in a side valley of the Spiti near the Kye monastery in the state of Himachal Pradesh in northwestern India .

The village is at an altitude of 4200 m, making it the highest place in the region that can be reached by motor vehicle. It therefore serves with its guest houses as a starting point for mountain tours. The village is home to a monastery school and numerous chortens; the townscape is still largely characterized by traditional farmhouses.
