Kilian (ice dance)
The Kilian is an ice dance that was developed by Karl Schreiter. The first performance of this dance took place in Vienna at the Engelmann ice rink in 1909. It is a sample dance of the ISU (International Skating Union), but is also danced as a round dance. During Kilian as ISU dance with a today Choctaw danced (with edge change), it should originally with a Mohawk have been danced. In this somewhat simpler form, the Kilian is usually danced in round dancing.
The Kilian is danced in an open Kilian hold .
