"For students, specialists as well as parents and teachers, information on current developments in the field of children and youth media and children and youth media research"
offers.
The trans-media orientation of the portal is also mentioned in the specialist press :
"[T] he individual contributions [take] into account the increasing importance of cross- and transmedia offers in the field of children and youth media research (...)."
This aspect is also shown in the presentation of KinderundJugendmedien.de in issue 2.5 of the "Closure" journal, with an outlook on the further development of the portal:
“The published articles place a special focus on cross-media phenomena in order to do justice to the increasing tendency in children and youth media research towards cross and transmedia offers. In the area of graphic storytelling, contributions to picture book research have dominated so far. In the future, a bridge between picture book and comic research is envisaged, through which the latter should be more closely integrated into the portal. "
