Klangwelt Records is a German record label based in Berlin .
In 2009 the label Klangwelt Records was founded as the third label project by Ryan Davis and Lanny May. In addition to Maripoza Records, which was not to be continued at this point in time, and Back Home, which functioned in the direction of experimental electronic music , Klangwelt emerged as the home of more club-friendly music. In 2012 May left Klangwelt Records, which has been run by Ryan Davis since then.
After a quieter phase, the label has been developing a new artist core since 2015 and renewing its structures with a focus on a close connection between label and artist and increased media presence.
Since 2017, Klangwelt has not only acted as a stand-alone label, but also as a kind of collective name for fans of Klangwelt & Back Home. In terms of style, the sound world is located between club-compatible sound such as techno & tech house and compositional influences from ambient , classical music or film music . Guided by Davis, the focus is always on the balance between rhythm and melody.
Almost all artists who have used one of Davis labels as a starting point for their career or as a stopover are now known worldwide. Artists such as Max Cooper, N'to, Electric Rescue, Traumer, Spada, Cora Novoa and Davis have published on Klangwelt, among others.
