Sticky sand

Adhesive sand is a loose sediment capable of binding, mostly of tertiary age. Sticky sands are weathering products of sandstones, which after weathering collected again in troughs and depressions and sedimented. The adhesive sand is used in the refractory industry and foundry technology. The fire-resistant Eisenberger adhesive sand , which was therefore particularly popular in industry, is considered to be particularly adhesive .
