Shamrock cross
The four-leaf clover , also known as the Lazarus Cross and the Brabant Cross , is a cross whose ends are decorated with the four-leaf clover .
The basic form
The trefoil cross is also called the clover cross . Derived from the 3 circle segments, the term three-leaf cross is also common ( trifoile , the three-pass ).
Variants and Uses
It is formed from the common (Greek, Balkenkreuz) or a Latin cross (Passion, High Cross) with the ends of the arms of the cross covered with clover leaves.
- Christian name is Lazarus Cross It is related to the Saint Thomas Cross . It is used as a death cross in the Catholic Church.
- With a stalked clover it is called the Brabant Cross .
- If this cross is placed at an angle, it becomes a clover-leaf cross
- The lower end may vary, as clover pointed cross .
- The name Lazarus cross can also be found for the clover leaf cross as a nimbus cross in a pearl wreath .
